Anton Ittinger was also known as Anton Idinger. He was born circa 1786 at Tolnayshof, Mosbach, Baden, Germany; Based on age in 1851 of 65 aboard the ship JL.
Anton Ittinger married Katharina Schilling, daughter of Michael Schilling and Margaretha (?), on 24 October 1820 at Tolnayshof, Mosbach, Baden, Germany; Also listed in the LDS IGI as Anton Ittinger in Batch # M937012. Anton Ittinger was found on the passenger list aboard the Ship JL, captained by Albert Zerega. The ship left from Liverpool, England and arrived at the port of New York City on 2 June 1851.1 He lived on 9 July 1852 at Teunis Street, Bethlehem, Albany County, New York; Purchased lot 7 on west side of Teunis St. for the sum of $375, from Teunis Van Vechten and his wife, Catherine.2 As of 9 July 1852, Anton Ittinger was also known as Antoine Ettinger. He Sold one half of lot 7 on the west side of Teunis St. for the sum of $188, to his son, Wendel Ettinger on 20 March 1854 at Bethlehem, Albany County, New York.3
